Lorraine E. Castro

Bio

Lorraine E. Castro is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who spent twenty years developing and growing the nonprofit agency she founded and for which she served as Chief Executive Officer. The agency, Bienvenidos Children’s Center, originally provided critical services for abused children and their families then grew to an organization with an annual budget of sixteen million dollars helping 18,000 people a year in the areas of domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, homelessness, literacy, bilingual/bi-cultural parenting, and many other challenges faced by fragile families. This included four mental health clinics, two health clinics, and foster family and adoptions programs at fifteen locations across Los Angeles County.

In a recent position, Lorraine created a highly successful intensive outpatient program for Co-Occurring Disordered parolees. Traditionally the experienced recidivism rate for returning to prison was 80%. In her program, of the nearly 900 voluntary participants over a six year period, the recidivism rate was under 10%.

Lorraine is passionate about being of service to those who need help. She has been a Spiritual Life Coach and Healer for over twenty-five years. She is also a Certified Sacred Soul Alignment Practitioner. an Energetic Allergy Healer and A Cocreating Miracles Practitoner.
